Mission

The journal "Theoretical Economics" was founded in 2011 on the initiative of the Department of Economic Theory at Yaroslavl State Technical University. The main goal of the journal is to develop the concept of theoretical economics, advance economic science and education in Russia, and improve the quality of economic research.

The journal's mission is to create and disseminate modern economic knowledge, publishing the most interesting results of scientific research in the field of international and regional competitiveness. The journal serves as a platform for professional discussion of a wide range of fundamental problems related to competitiveness.

The journal "Theoretical Economics" is included by the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in the List of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the academic degrees of Doctor and Candidate of Sciences (field of science – Economic Sciences (08.00.00)) must be published. It is included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).

The journal is included in the "White List" of scientific journals (Level 2 of the Unified State Information System for Research and Development (EGISU NIP)).

The journal publishes articles of both a theoretical and applied nature, across all areas of economic science. Special attention is paid to the analysis of processes occurring in the Russian economy: the issues of new industrialization, the development of competition, and increasing the competitiveness of the national economy.

Decisions on the publication of materials are made on the basis of anonymous ("blind") peer review. The sole criterion for the publication of materials in the journal is the quality of the work itself – the scientific novelty, originality, and validity of the research results. The journal is published in Russian and English. It is published 12 times a year.

The online publication is registered with the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media.
