This article provides an overview of the presentations delivered at the section “Russia — 2026: Techno-Neuro-Digital Prospects of Civilization”, which was part of the International Scientific Conference “Russia in 2025: Society, Economy, Culture”, held on December 4, 2025, at the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. The materials from the section present the results of a philosophical and economic interdisciplinary analysis of the transformation of the economy (more broadly, of the economic system) under the influence of digitalization and artificial intelligence technologies, which affect not only material production but also mentality. The discussions clarified the terminological representation of AI, raised issues concerning anthropotechnical intelligent systems, and examined strategies for achieving technological sovereignty based on the development of digital financial assets (DFAs) and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). The effects of neuro-digitalization on individuals and society were discussed, including questions of educational transformation and the possibility of maintaining cognitive and emotional balance through a partial return to analog practices. Applied aspects were also considered: the new role of AI in logistics, e-commerce, and the financial and banking sector, as well as the role of special economic zones. The relevance of the topic is primarily determined by the rapid incursion of AI into economic activity, which generates fundamental challenges related to the controllability of AI technologies (the “superalignment” problem), changes in people’s economic behavior, and the need to examine economic transformations based on alternative methodological principles. Particular urgency is gained not only by issues of technological sovereignty but also by the transition to a different, polycentric financial architecture and the adaptation of higher education systems to the latest demands of the “cybereconomy” and “University 4.0”. The papers introduce and refine new conceptual categories: “user economic sovereignty”, “anthropotechnical intelligent system”, and also identify reproductive deformations. The analysis of behavioral effects is also characterized by novelty: the phenomenon of “responsibility shifting” in economic decisions resulting from human interaction with AI algorithms has been identified.
